We really do appreciate positive feedback from our guests and here is a little taste of what people have been saying about Landings at The Falcon Hotel.

FROM TOPTABLE.COM

"Anne and I booked a meal at "Landings at the Falcon Hotel", for a 7.30pm meal. We received a warm welcome. The interior decor was beautiful and elegant. The service was attentive without being "in your face". As to the cuisine, this was well presented, and was very well cooked--full of flavour and it was hot. Apart from ourselves there were three others dining--surprising for a Saturday night, particularly with the quality of the food and the ambience." by Anonymous via Toptable.com

"Booked [Landings at The Falcon Hotel] for a 40th wedding anniversary, although very quiet for a Saturday night, [but] it was Halloween. The service and food was impeccable, would thoroughly recommend and would return there with no hesitation." by HG via Toptable.com

"Was a quiet evening for the restaurant, but we [had] a wonderful time. The food and service was good. Will go there again." by Anonymous via Toptable.com

"On a Tuesday night in September there was always the risk that the restaurant was going to be pretty empty--and so it proved. Luckily my table of 7 so thoroughly enjoyed the 'Landings Experience' that it didn't really matter. The food there is really good and it is presented in a way which makes it clear that the Chef and his team take great pride in each individual serving. The room itself is very comfortable and with all starters under £10 and all main courses under £20 it is fantastic value." by Tony Potter via Toptable.com

"Booked this restaurant to celebrate my daughter and her fiance's recent engagement. When we arrived we were the only party at the restaurant, a little worrying!! However, there was no need to worry, the service was impeccable (as you would have expected), but not over fussy (as it could have been). The food was superb, and was fantastic value for money. We will certainly be returning, and have already recommended this place to lots of our friends." by SA via Toptable.com

"A gem of a restaurant! ...we've been to many a restaurant with high expectations that didn't deliver and although our expectations weren't as high for the Landings every part of the evening surpassed anything we could have hoped for. We would whole heartedley recommend the Landings to everyone. Food was outstanding in taste and value and the maitre d' was as good as in any Michelin Star'd London establishment - attentive to our every need but not overly so. Go people, go!" by Simon Milton via Toptable.com

FROM THE PRESS

"Ever driven along the Farnborough Road wondering if there was a fine dining restaurant nearby? Well, look no further! Situated inside the recently refurbished Falcon Hotel lies an outstanding first class restaurant called Landings, suitably named after the landing strip of the TAG London Farnborough Airport which is situated opposite the hotel, an ideal location for the well-known Farnborough Air Show. Since July of last year, the restaurant has undergone extensive refurbishment and the transformation is magnificent – the perfect setting for a quiet romantic dinner with soft lighting, a business meal or just an evening out catching up with family or friends.

On a summer evening last week, my husband, Lance and I entered the lobby of the hotel to be greeted by Karol Kozlowski, one of the restaurant managers, who escorted us to the beautifully air conditioned restaurant which was light and airy and elegantly decorated in pastel colours of mint and cream. Once we were seated, Darius Zvinis, the General Manager and Executive Chef, left his busy kitchen to come over and introduce himself to us. Originally from Canada, Darius has created a fantastic menu, not just because of the delicious food on offer but also the menu itself, a sophisticated design in gold napa leather which folds out to reveal two sections of the menu, starters and main course plus a welcome note informing their customers of the local fresh ingredients used to produce the outstanding dishes, freshly cooked to order. Darius has been inspired by various parts of the world thus incorporating a lot of his ideas into his dishes which vary approximately every three months depending on popularity. After a while, Darius returned to his kitchen and while we were looking at the A La Carte menu we were served with some tasty home made bread and butter and then a dish each of Smoked Duck which was served with julienne vegetables, oranges and a soy chilli glaze – absolutely delicious! Although we had already sampled a starter from the menu we were keen to order another one! I choose Fig and Prosciutto, shaved Italian prosciutto, fresh figs, grana padano (an Italian cheese) with extra-virgin olive oil while Lance choose Buffalo Mozzarella with fresh basil, vine ripened tomatoes, grilled zucchini, extra-virgin olive oil with a balsamic reduction. As with the duck, both starters were delicious, a mouth watering mixture of flavours and textures so divine we couldn’t wait to taste the main courses we had chosen which were Hampshire Chicken Breast for me, served with creamy polenta, asparagus, a swede and carrot puree with a wild mushroom sauce and Lance decided on a recommendation from Karol, British Beef Tenderloin with a gorgonzola crust, fingerling-potatoes (a small elongated potato which is slightly knobbly) onion hash with a thyme glace.

Also on the starter menu was Signature Salad, a mixture of baby greens, candied pecans, chevre (a goats milk cheese) and sun-dried tomatoes in a vinaigrette, Wild Mushroom Soup with truffle oil and croutons or Crab and Prawn Cakes, king prawns, crab, micro-greens with homemade tartar sauce. The following were just a couple of main dishes offered on the menu, Hampshire Rosemary Lamb, a rack of lamb with a rosemary crust, roasted garlic mashed potatoes, pepper zucchini roulade with a mint-veal glace or Cioppinio, salmon, cod, mussels, scallops, prawns in a saffron tomato broth. Each and every carefully prepared dish will amaze you with its presentation and unique taste; proof itself that Darius and his staff have really taken their time to research the textures and flavours of each dish on offer.
We couldn’t end the evening without trying one of the desserts so Lance opted for the Chocolate Torte while I had a substantial plate of cheese, biscuits and fresh fruit and we both had a cup of hot coffee to finish off.
Lance and I were thoroughly impressed with our dining experience, made even more enjoyable by the helpful, friendly and efficient staff, nothing was too much trouble and the service was impeccable." by Lynn, as featured in the Star Courier
